A physiotherapist is able to draw up a high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy plan together with a client and base the plan on assessment, the client’s needs and clinical reasoning. The physiotherapist takes into consideration the ethical guidelines, legislation and effectiveness in his or her work. He or she has good intercultural, interactive and educational skills and is able to participate in projects involving multidisciplinary cooperation.The performances in a course can include exercises, exams, written assignments, portfolios and various projects. The studies are partly carried out in small groups. This enables the development of different areas of professional competence and learning skills in group work and client/patient work. A student may perform part of theoretical studies and clinical practice abroad. Finnish language will be studied during the studies. The aim is to reach satisfactory level in Finnish.
