The Degree Programme in Tourism provides students with extensive knowledge about the tourism industry and business management at the same time as they get acquainted with working life.
The programme provides students with the skills to function in sales, planning and development positions in tourism companies and organisations, as well as a sufficient knowledge to become entrepreneurs in the tourism industry. After graduation, students can work in travel agencies, in the passenger traffic industry, accommodation industry, in domestic or international organisations and in different tasks in the service industry.
The 3,5-year degree programme in Tourism is made up of different modules, including modules in tourism, business and language studies. The focus is on destination management as well as cultural and heritage management, completed with support services such as transport, accommodation and tourism administration.
Students can also include other elements of tourism, such as working with fairs or seminars and short written tasks like surveys, registers, brochures, leaflets and guides, in their studies. In addition, students can participate in real life tourism projects and write their thesis for the tourism industry.
After graduation your occupational title might be for instance Travel Agent, Travel Manager, Hotel Manager, Congress Manager, Sales Assistant or Tourism Entrepreneur.
